Why are Antler Velvet products expensive? We are confident that our prices are competitive for our quality. There are many factors that can affect price: Origin of products Our antler velvet products are proudly made in the United States. We adhere to high standard set forth by regulators, which will obviously benefit final consumers. Sellers from other countries have lesser Food Safety standard (if any at all). Their farms and processing facilities are not strictly regulated. Harvesting Antler velvet is harvested from deer, elk, or moose during the early stages of antler growth when the antlers are still soft and rich in nutrients. This process requires careful handling and skilled workers to ensure the animal's well-being and the quality of the velvet. Product quality Not all antler velvet are the same. Some sellers remove the premium tip parts of the antler and sell to their high-end customers. The remaining parts can be sold to regular customers at "low price". That is not our standard of practice. At USA Antler, all customers are important and will be treated equally. Animal welfare We prioritize the welfare of our animals and will not reduce animal welfare for profit. In many countries, the animals are locked up in tiny cell with no room to move, eat low quality food, cruel harvesting process, and receive little or no healthcare. Quality control and testing High-quality antler velvet products often undergo rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure purity, potency, and safety. This includes testing for contaminants such as heavy metals, bacteria, and pesticides, which can contribute to the overall cost of the product. Limited supply The availability of antler velvet is limited, as it can only be harvested during a specific period of the year when the antlers are in the growth phase. This limited supply, combined with the growing demand for antler velvet, can drive up prices.
